Sorry Kelly! I hope you get it done quick! Johnny and the crew got almost all the house painted today. It looks so good! I had such a hard time picking colors. I am usually a lot better at it than this time. I originally thought I would just go white through the whole house to make it lighter and brighter. Then we remembered a housing development that we loved where they had muted earth tones on the walls, slightly different in every room. We did a lttle variation of that. Most of the house is the same color as the living room except the bathrooms and hallways are off white as are the ceilings.

This is the main color in the house. It is called Sandy Toes:

This is the kitchen color. It is called City Dweller:

The cabinets will be Swiss Coffee.

The baseboard and moldings will be a true white. I painted my bedroom a color called Bay of Fundy. I just love it.

Saying goodbye to Tank tomorrow. Sweet boy is headed to North Carolina where he has two older girlfriends waiting for him! That leaves just Sofie, whose sale has fallen through not once but twice.



Had a fun surprise this morning- look who was so proud of her brood! I thought she was going to take my hand off when I accidentally got too close trying to get a good look!


My daughters went camping with Daddy last night, so the boys and I met their cousins, aunt, uncle, and grandmother at the Tulsa Zoo this morning. Grandma bought us tickets to ride the train!

Rinda those pups are adorable. I hope Sophie finds her forever home soon. That's cool that you got to do something with the boys alone. What a fun idea. baby ducks are the cutest things ever! I tried ducks three times but we couldn't keep them safe because they wouldn't go inside at night. They were adorable though.

Mary, if you had a dog like Sophie, she would herd your ducks into their shelter at night. Just sayin' . Tucker could be friends with her and bye bye kitty.

The fires are just devastating with entire towns lost. The smoke is so thick. Our throats are raw and breathing is tough. Luckily the temp is down 20 degrees from two days ago and we even had a few drops of rain this morning. I hope the change in the weather helps firefighters get the upper hand. I will probably stay in and go stir crazy. At least I have my home so I can't complain when so many people lost everything!
