80 proof vodka freezes at -16.51*F. All alcohol will freeze,100% ethanol freezes at approx, -175*F. So depending on the ethanol to water ratio in the liquor it will freeze between 32*F and -175*F. A deep freezer/chest freezer temp is usually between -10*F and -20*F, so your liquor could freeze or become slushy.. An everyday freezer is set at about 0*F, so your liquor should be safe there.

Rinda - beautiful Orps! How do you keep their rears so clean? I have a blue English Orp and I have to trim her rear often. But yours don't look like they have met with scissors.

The purpose of the trim was to increase fertility- they are SO fluffy the roosters weren't making contact when they mated! Took me forever to figure out why the eggs weren't always fertile but fertile sometimes!

What is cold for everyone else? I think the shock was going from 100+ daytime temps to 53 in the morning. We're sissies!

I know some English Orp breeders pluck for the males to make contact. I just can't imagine plucking a live bird's behind. So no breeding English Orps for me. Plus, they are food pigs! I've never seen a bird eat so much!

We do *normally* get snow here Mike, it just hasn't been much with the drought. Where Mary lives rarely ever gets snow. We do get down into the 20's, which I'm sure is still warm for the rest of you.

Saw a YouTube video the other day of a snoring dormouse, cracked me right up.

I used to think below zero was cold, but nowadays anything below about 15 is pretty bad. Unfortunately it gets that cold for weeks at a time here. We went 6 weeks last winter where the temp did not make it into the 20's. BF was working north of here last winter, and it got down to 40 below quite often.
