Stella's Social Club

It's going to be really nice Kathy! I vote that they get to keep their chair in there, kind of like I voted for Dar to get some chickens. :hide

Looks like we all picked the same carpet. It does hide a multitude of sins, that's for sure. oUrs has the protectant on. mIchael spilled a cup of coffee with cream and sugar and it didn't soak it. He was able or wipe it up without leaving a stain. He did the same thing on another carpet we had and we eventually had to cut that piece out, including the pad, and replace it with some we stole from inside a closet. The odor of the soured milk was horrible. We only have carpets in the bedrooms now, but I should still consider a sippy cup for Michael!

Hoping the surgery happens today and he can begin recovering foe real. You guys need a break! BTW, men under anesthesia and in a hospital 70 miles away won't know if a patio door is being relocated. Just sayin.' :hide

Hardly shows any dog hair at all!

Edited to say that is not a stain in the corner. It is just still dark in here and the iPad doesn't have flash. Hate to look like a slob! But too lazy to walk into the next room for a real camera!

This is a very plush (heavy) carpet. They had never laid any this thick before, they said. I really like it. Very pricey, but the quality is evident. It was around $1300 for one room and hallway.

Yup, it is. We have only two bedrooms that are carpeted, plus my huge master bdrm closet (well, now it's the quilt room). The insurance paid for it, but I believe it was around that price.

Really like the fabric Kathy. Has Mike had his surgery yet?

Yes. He had surgery today. He is in extreme pain and they are unable to get it under control. Very upsetting. He has to remain on bedrest for at least 2 more weeks, until the post-op follow up appointment at the dr office. The swelling is a concern. Doc said he doesn't want swelling to cause the surgical site to pop apart. He is still on IV Vancomycin. He is so constipated that he is in pain from that also. What a mess!

We thought this little accident would result in a little surgery and recovery in a few weeks. Boy were we wrong about that! He has already been on bedrest for almost 3 weeks, and now at least 2 more. His muscles really need a work out, and he just has no idea. . . .

I am so sorry!

The guy at work that fell building a tree house was out or work for 5 months! and he was in his thirties. Legs that break like that are very problematic.
