Stella's Social Club

I inspected my hives today. Both hives look great and population in both are increasing rapidly. I'm still feeding both, trying to get the population high before the blackberries bloom. A small casulty to the human who took a sting to her pinky finger. (now quite swollen)
Glad the hives are doing well. Hope your finger heals quickly.

Ouch - but better than on the face!!

Today is the last day for collection maple sap. It was such a looooong, cold/warm/cold spring, that my friend Denise and I collected quite a lot between the two of us. I am simmering the last of it down today, and after a few days sitting will put it up in jars and count the bounty.
Awesome!

Love that you are using the couch!

Another baby arrived today! Single doeling! Getting pics now! She is TINY TINY! The girls have named her Snowflake since her mom is Elsa. Emily's baby has taken the name Marshmallow. :)

Nice! Sounds like a great syrup year!

Your package is on it's way. Sorry I didn't get it out sooner, but it's been a hectic week!

Good news on the hives Kelly, not so much on the finger! Ouch, I hate bee stings. We have a ton of clover growing in the yard this spring and I rarely wear shoes at home, so I may be feeling the pain myself.

I am leaving soon to drive down to pick up a workbench for the shop. I am repairing an old barrel top trunk. Just finished upholstering a side chair, four dining room chair seats, and the fainting couch. I bought an old six pane window that has broken glass. I am breaking the broken glass out and using the window to frame historical gold rush photos. Michael and I bought a huge old rusty bakers rack. I am going to wire brush the rough spots, paint some boards to cover the wire shelves and it will be ready for use in the shop. We also bought a cute garden gate. We are installing it in the open doorway from the shop into the workspace to keep Tucker in and people out. I made a counter for the cash register out of recycled wood. It came out really nice. MIchael has all the equipment for collecting money and debit/credit cards set up. He has the social media sites up and is working on a website. We still have a little painting and touch-up work to do. I have to get the curtains hemmed, lined, and ready to hang. I have lots of furniture to paint!

But......drumroll...we finally got our business license yesterday!

Pressure is on now Rinda and Mike! Found this on Facebook.

Great news on the license, congratulations!

I hope Rinda's "real kids" don't see that!
Hahaha!

Wow you are moving fast! We are still waiting on our business license to come snail mail. :/ But we have a facebook page up and Lonny's got enough jobs lined up to more than equal the sales job so we are already ahead of the game!

An adorable doeling was born yesterday! Her mom is Elsa, so the girls named her Snowflake. She is TINY- 1/3 the size of the buckling born Saturday! The girls also chose to name the boy Marshmallow. Which is the big snow monster in Frozen. I think they have Frozen brains! And the boys are grumpy that I let the girls name them, so I said they could help choose the next babies names. The problem is they always want Pokemon names!
