That was a mama goose and her goslings.  That was cute, she was not wanting that guy near her.  On the other hand..geese can be pretty smart........

Here is an interesting story of a goose wanting help for her baby!

Actually I think it was a muscovy duck and her ducklings :) I used to have muscovies and they're very protective of their babies.

Anyways sorry to crash the thread, I'm usually just a lurker :hide

Well the groomer I chose by accident was a horror! I was expecting a DEA raid any moment. Nasty with hoards of roaming glassy eyed kids in filthy pajama bottoms coming in and out. If that had been going on when I left him I never would have. I think they woke up and came in while Tucker was there. It truly was the most deplorable business I have ever seen. Luckily Tucker got out unscathed except for a very rough cut. I think he still looks adorable and we should not have the clover burr problem except around his chin and on whatever that thing is on the top of his head. Oh yes, and the clip revealed three neck rings that look like a pug!

I went to check my hives, and my smaller hive is bearding in the heat. We are 95 out now, and the hive isn't shaded yet. My large hive is not bearding, but there are some on the patio directing air flow into the hive. We are in our prime blackberry flow, and they are curing the honey. Nothing better than the soft hum of bees wings and the scent of curing honey in the air.

what is bearding?

What is bearding? Scent of honey would be rather pleasant.

Oh no. He doesn't look to pleased.

OH NO. Not my Tucker. I used to trim dogs and NEVER made one look that ah, different. Poor Tucker. He never had fat rings around his neck. I feel faint.... It will grow back, just write that on a blackboard about 100 times,!

The upside to the goofy haircut? Not one clover burr today! :clap

I think he looks adorable. Even after being woken up from his nap. Bet this will be much better for him when he is out and about in those burrs.
