Just feeling crappy right now. We have been struggling with drawing customers into the store as there is very little walk-by traffic. Plus, we have to contend with grody loiterers. Last night I left a few minutes early because a drug bust was going on across the street. Took this from my front window.



Then this morning I went to the shop to pick up paint. The woman that is moving out next door to us (with the clothing store) told me who our new neighbors would be. The guy who owns the Metro PCS store with all the loiterers is leasing the space to open a cafe/teen hangout for the 1500 high school students who walk past our door each day. They will sell nachos, hot dogs, drinks, etc, have tables for the kids to eat and listen to music! They will be open for lunch, after school, and on weekends.

The school is open campus so the kids can leave for lunch and breaks. The kids are so hard to control that the high school has two men riding through town on golf carts yelling at them through megaphones and hauling them back to campus.

We might as well lock the door and walk away.

Oh great

Although even up here in the middle of nowhere we had to call the cops on the drug house operating directly across the street from the office. Which they knew about, and let alone - looking for a "big fish"? Lazy? Who knows. But they pulled out on their own thank goodness. Second time in 10 years.

Still looking for a new space. We have a lead on one in Old Town but it too has its drawbacks but would still be in a better location for retail. Talked to the owner again today but it is being renovated so who knows how long it might be. Another building of his is in its third YEAR of renovation!

Anyway, I came home and finished the toybox I have been working on. here are the before and afters. Thanks for your support!

My grandmother had a stool like that but, painted deep green (probably 100% lead). Hers has black rubber floor protectors on the legs. I've had it since she passed away in 1969. It's the only thing I have of hers and I love it dearly.
