I do the same thing every winter. Put the egg in my pocket and forget it's there. Bend down and smoosh.
I was holding eggs during the the big rain storm at the first of the year and was wearing croks. I slipped, fell down and smashed both eggs. The hens got a treat that day!

Winter finally decided to arrive...........it's snowing. We have had a really crappy "winter" so far, so this is a nice change. Of course, my plums, pluots and apricot was in full bloom.
I hope they will be OK!

It happens EVERY year. We get a warm spell in January and everything blooms, then a cold snap and snow. It's good for the apples though, we haven't had enough chilling hours this year.

My oldest got his first experience driving in snow, and made it home safely. DH is on his way home, but he is good driving in snow and has 4wd. So, I can relax now.
