Oops, I forgot I needed to post a picture of Drekkette. It rained all day yesterday and still raining this morning. It is MUDDY. At this point I still wish she were in the inside brooder, but I'll try to take a picture and get it posted. I thought her down looked very blue, I was happy to see her feathers come in the same.

That storm was so strange for us. Sheesh, who would have thought we'd have tornado warnings here? At one point the wind in front of my house was blowing like crazy and not even a mild breeze in the back of my house.

Mary - my pullet is still alive, so far. I got her to eat some oatmeal, flockraiser, milk, vitamin E gruel this morning, but not much. Poor thing was soaked last night when I went to put her in the coop. (she can't make it up the ramp anymore) I got soaked too closing up.

Dang! What a time to be without animal shelters! I cancelled the ones I had on order and demanded a refund. My regular contractor is starting to build shelters today. Still lots of bad weather between now and the weekend but I hope to at least get one up for Jack and Diana. The emus have the canopy of two huge olive trees give them some protection.

Kelly I am glad she ate some gruel though it sounds horrible! Poor dear. I feel so bad for her and for you. You have done everything to save her. Still hoping for a miracle for her or a peaceful end.

Lovely birds Kathy! Is their run covered? The hawks would be all over them here! I have never lived in a place with so many hawks. They fly over squawking all day long.

We are supposed to be dry until about 1 p.m. I don't know how much progress we'll make on the runs though since it is so muddy.

Most definitely YES!! She is quite the looker and I can hardly wait until next spring to be able to hatch some of her eggs! She spends most of her time with Falki and I think the two of them will throw some gorgeous chicks.
