Even with the stairs, the basement seems like an easier option for me than the barn. There is double door access right outside without going down the stairs. Last night Michael parked his motorcycle and riding mower in the basement! I haven't had a basement since I lived in Kansas. They are few and far between in these parts. The older Victorians have them. The basement in Kansas was really scary though and I didn't like going down there. This one doesn't scare me, thank goodness. Granddaughter Mandy had big plans to use that basement in the horror movie she is writing. She is just going to have to work the junk right into the film!

Well finally candled the Isbar eggs last night Mary, I have at least 5 developing!

In addition to the issues on your end, I can tell the post office was really rough on this batch. Besides the broken and cracked ones there were a lot with detached air cells, etc. So I will cross my fingers that I get 5 more little chickies... especially since I am thinking out of the 5 I hatched out over the last 2-3 months 4 of them look like boys!

Yes, bummer - snow is forecast to hit me tonight.

It's pouring like crazy right now. And that wind just freezes you to the bone!

I have 2 blue barnevelders hatched. 1 looks to be a blue and the other looks to be a black. (won't be keeping any blacks) Another zipping and several pipped. Keep your fingers crossed for splashes!

Three days ago Loca nailed me in the face when I was in their yard feeding them. She left me with a swollen lip and a big red scrape which has scabbed over. I went to the dentist today and it appears as if she also knocked the filling out and fractured my tooth. I have to go next week for a root canal and crown. Tab: $1,200.00

My Husband and I had the day off yesterday.... He asked me on a date What ever I want to do.....
I ended up talking him into going to the New tractor supply store in Auburn and working on a new coop...
I love that new store. It has a little something for everyone..
