Do you know how hard it is to find things made in America?! Sheesh.... That is my goal. Purchase things made in the USA.

Currently, I am looking for a couple things. This is one...... a popcorn popper pan. Kinda like this picture. But, it has to be made in America. I have organic popcorn. No more of that nasty microwave junk. It tastes so much better, too.



The next thing I am looking for is..... because of Mary..... an apple peeler. I can not find one made in America. Dang it. Well, I take that back. I did find a few old antique "White Mountain," ones that were made by Goodell, Co. in Antrim, N.H. around 1930. However, I would prefer the vacuum suction thingy.

Mike - just be prepared to get REALLY dirty and bring home lots of sand. I spent all day yesterday washing everything and trying to get rid of all the sand!

Jason - so sorry to hear about your cockerel. I know from experience that bobcats leave no feather pattern. Just *poof* gone. Since the beak was left, I'd think owl.



My youngest son (9) is the ever forceful chicken protector. I HAD to go outside yesterday because he saw hawks. No hawks, but there were about 20 turkey vultures circling 30 or so feet above the ground. I told him they were vultures and he wouldn't believe me. He stayed outside to watch over the chickens.

OMG, I took one of those to the thrift store about a month ago when I purged the kitchen to get ready for the remodel. It had been here for decades and I think only used a couple of times and was taking up space and gathering dust.

I am off to do some cleaning at the old house before the cleaners come tomorrow! I ran the oven self cleaning cycle overnight now I just have to wipe it out. I also need to clean the fridge. I left it a little messy when I emptied it. I have a couple more spots to spackle and touch-up paint and then I am done with the inside. I still have three very messy coops to clean and Michael has to finish emptying the barn and the garage. Goal is to get it listed before the weekend. Yikes, better get going. I'll give you a call when I get home Kelly. My cell phone battery is DEAD!
