I hate white chickens too, they just stand out too much. BUT................I will admit to having a secret desire for Delawares hens. (no roosters, don't need any more stinkin' roosters) Someday. She is a very pretty girl Kathy. Is she part of your project delawares? Then, you will just have to have some Delawares! This pretty pullet is a cull. Her beak is not "reddish horn," so she goes....
Tell me about it. All but 3 loads I did myself. (the kids weren't much help) Ah well, I'd rather load/unload most of it rather than split most of it. DH splits and I stack it. DH said it was the biggest oak he has ever cut up. (I still think the 2 he cut up for his grandparents were bigger) I got in trouble for telling him it was a "little" tree, when the trunk was 3 ft in diameter.Wow Kelly that's a lot of wood! It didn't look like that much on the ground. I am enjoying the view out my window now too. Still have to rake and get rid of the brush but at least "the hangman's tree" as the neighbors called it, is gone!
I ordered my netting.
