Stephen King's Reading Corner

This is a great thread. I haven’t read many Stephen King books which is shameful as am I huge horror fan... someone on here mentioned the Langoliers, the mini tv series they did for that was great.

I’ve read The Cell...don’t judge:)the book was better than the film :barnie Pet Semetary is brilliant and I’ve now began reading It., though it’ll take about 6 years taking the length of it into consideration :lau love the other suggestions. I’ve seen Cujo but not read the book, that’s another one to add to the list.

Cujo the book was good. It's been a long time since I read it but remember it being sad.

It's nice to have another reader here!

:D
@GracieJ Cujo is a very good read, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

Since you haven't read a lot of King, what else do you like read?

Oh I’ll definitely will have to try it then :)

I like to read a variety of different books like Watership Down, Harry Potter, Animal Farm, To Kill A Mockingbird, One flew over the cuckoos nest, Lord of the flies etc. I’m currently trying to work my way through the classics :D if anyone has some suggestions I’d love to hear them.

What’s your fav Stephen King book?

It’s lovely on be here, thank you for having me! What’s your favourite book? And favourite Stephen King one aswell he is the star of this discussion x

@GracieJ just a few of my favorite classics (in addition to Kill A Mockingbird):
The Good Earth by Pearl Buck
Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell
Anything by Charles Dickens
Any of the Sherlock Holmes stories

As for the King books, it used to be The Shining, but after reading a 3-book series @igorsMistress mentioned, I've added these to my top favorites:
1. Mr. Mercedes
2. Finder's Keeper's
3. End of Watch
(you need to read them in order)
And I still love The Shining!

Thanks for the suggestions, will have to start reading them! Think Mr. Mercedes is on the list first :D It's so nice to have suggestions from others because then I can come out of my comfort zone and actually read other genres and styles of writing!

My personal favourite - Watership Down. :loveSuch a poignant tale of hardship and adventure that wild rabbits go through on a daily basis. I loved it, probably because I am a mother to ten giant lops :p highly recommend though.
