hello everyone,
i helped a stuck chick out of its egg, its been about 6 hours but his feathers still look sticky, hes very dry to the touch though and has small pieces of inner membrane stuck here and there. how can i get him fluffy so i can transfer him into the brooder?
any replies would really help a lot
thanks!

Leave it in the incubator until at least another chick or 2 hatches and dries enough to put in brooder.....it's usually best to wait until all chicks have hatched to put them in the brooder, opening the incubator can dry out the air and make it hard for the other chicks to hatch.

The 'dirty' down will fluff up eventually, it's much better off in the warm moist incubator than in the brooder by itself.

i ended up wiping him with a warm water paper towel and drying using a hair dryer. hes pretty fluffy and doing well in the brooder :)
