Hi, everyone.

I don't raise chickens, I simply bought some eggs 3 days ago and I just notice that some eggs are releasing a substance very sticky over their shell. Any idea why this is happening? They were not in the refrigerator, but the kitchen has a cool temperature.

Thanks in advance.

Did you check the eggs when you first bought them @mirella ?
Who did you buy them from?

Thanks for replying! Yes, I did. I took them from the box and put them in my regular one. They were clean as usual. This is the second time I bought from this brand, and it happens again...

Are you sure there wasn't something in the plastic carton they were in?
Thanks for replying. I'm pretty sure. This is the second time I bought from this brand, and the second time it happens... Last time one egg spelled out so much this sticky oil that I had to wash the container.

Hmm. Did one break and ooze egg white on to the others? That also looks like the natural coating on an egg fresh out of the chicken, but that's not possible. Enjoy your eggs!
Hi. This is the second time I bought from this brand, and the second time it happens in more than 6 eggs in total... It is a really sticky liquid/oil...

Huh...I don't know what it would be. I wouldn't eat them if something was coming out of the shell. What brand are they?
