Am after some advise please. I have a year old black copper maran who's been laying for a few months now. She lays almost daily but her eggs always have a 'sticky' shell and always has more bedding stuck to it than any other of our chickens eggs. Also the eggs consistently have 3 or 4 blood/ meat spots in. I know to expect this sometimes but it's everytime. Any advise on why these are occurring and what i can do please? Thanks

My FBCM also has sticky bloom on her eggs, so yes we get bits of bedding stuck to it. They even stuck to her bum when she first started laying, so she'd wander around with an egg just planted in the middle of her rear. Wonder if there's a correlation between dark eggs and extra bloom?

As far as meat spots, some birds are chronic with those. My Buff Orp had meat spots in about 80-90% of her eggs (thankfully she retired from laying), so I made sure to never hard boiled them. They were fine for poaching or frying or baking, anything where I could crack it open and inspect for spots to remove.
