So I have read on many internet sites that the temperature for a still air incubator should be at 102 degrees at the top of the eggs. My last incubation attempt was a disaster and the chicks hatched a few days early and unfortunately did not hatch fully developed. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if 102 degrees could actually be to hot and make the chicks develop too fast.

101 is what is normal I believe... How accurate is your thermometer?

Since I am only trying to hatch a few eggs I have room in the incubator and put 3 thermometers in there. All give the same temp reading. For my current incubation I have had the Temp between 101 and 101.5 hoping they don't develop too fast.
