But when did they HATCH??? If they hatched Sunday and sat around not being fed or watered until yesterday then got mailed, you're not much better off than if they'd been in transit the whole time. Sorry to be a downer, but it's the truth.
I went through MyPet CHicken so I doubt Meyer could tell me about my order even though they shippe dit.
Meyer only hatches on Mondays and Wednesdays. They are my local hatchery and I know this for a fact.
That's so unfair of you to throw such a negative comment without justification out to someone waiting on an order of chicks to arrive that Meyers has no control over once the chicks enter the USPS mail system.
Meyers is an awesome hatchery with excellent customer service. You should be mad at the postal system.
The date on the box was Monday the 20th so the chicks would have hatched Sunday to be dry enough to ship Monday. So no they didn't hatch on Monday. In my case it was the PO's fault for not shippign them in a timely fashion. Other people though had a promise ship date of Monday from Meyer and they didn't ship until Tuesday. Again, when did they hatch? Did they sit in a box for 24 hrs longer than needed?
Right now I have 4 live chicks out of 24 shipped, 25 ordered. MPC/Meyer is shippign replacements May 11th. I will not set my opinion about them in stone until those arrive and I evaluate their conditon.
I'm sorry if you don't like that I was/am mad, but I take living things dieing seriously even if they are tiny fuzz balls.
