Still picking tomatoes?

I picked a half dozen just now. Maybe will have another half dozen before they are done.

This is about the only time of the year I can have a BLT with lettuce and tomato that I grew. It's tough to keep lettuce growing here until the first tomato of the summer is ready.

Never heard of "Pork Roll".

I'm still getting plenty of tomatoes off of my six plants, this year I planted black carbon tomatoes, the grew to seven feet tall then fell over the tomato cage, then grewn back to the ground the back up again??? I have no idea how long they are, I'm still having new flowers even and new growth. Ha I guess my dried chicken manure applied generously is working well!

Pork roll is a slaughterhouse by product made of unmentionable scraps and all sort of chemicals. Guaranteed to raise your blood pressure and clog your arteries, but it does taste so very good. 'Taylor' pork roll is the best of the product.

Just added it to the grocery list, have no idea if it can be bought around here but my lovely wife will procure some for me if it is.

Wonder if i can find it up here?
Is it a polish thing?

I'm still picking, we've had frost and today snow!
But I pick them when they are orange or near red because they are all for the birds. Our garden is nothing but a tomato jungle! 6x6ft area, half was over run w/cucumber, but when that died back, tomatoes took over.

Nope, not a Polish thing. I have also eaten my share of kielbasa, hot Polish mustard, and tomatoe sandwiches this summer.

Sourland, I was born in New Jersey and if you were caught describing Taylor Pork Roll in such derogatory terms they would have the governor sit on you. We NEVER talk about what may be inside that roll, we just slice it, grill it and eat it. I had not had it for a while but when you reminded me I really did go out and find some at our local Publix market. It really does taste great and I really have no idea what is in it, but it is very expensive!!

Well, the snow storm on 10/29 finished off the tomatoe plants. I actually picked tomatoes during the storm

. The last 8 are presently ripening on the kitchen windowsill. This year's varieties were great and provided a multitude of lunches and mozzarella/tomatoe/basil with balsamic vinagrette.
