Doesn't it make you feel good their out watching when your not. This is a picture of our watchdog. She's a mutt my vet gave me to bottle raise after her mother drowned under a pool cover. Annie guards everything, it just so happens she loves the chickens.

I didn't read the whole thread, and someone may have mentioned it already -- but that's actually a red tailed hawk, not a Coopers. Coopers are much smaller, with a different body shape and different markings.

My drake chases off squirrels, does that count?

My gang are too busy playing I got your tail, to notice whats going on around them.
But, I think just the fact that they are there helps ward off preditors.
