I think this was our free 'exotic' chick from MMH, but I can't seem to pinpoint what breed it is. Can anyone make a guess? And is it too soon to tell if its a boy or girl?

It looks a little darker in the pic than it really is. Its got a greyish blue tint to it.

Hmmm, black legs....could be ameraucana or black jersey giant....

EDIT: Looking through the MM list of black legged/dark legged chickens, here are some possibilities:
Black Australorp
Black Giants
Black Star
Black Mincoras

There are a couple others but I didn't think yours looked like the chicks pictured. You may have to wait till it gets a little bigger....

I was leaning towards Blue Andalusian too. I have been waiting to see if any black feathers start coming in, but they all look grayish blue to me.

Whatever it is, I hope it turns out to be a female. My neighbors wont be happy with crowing lol.

hi , my order from mmh had one of these !
I ordered the brown egglayers and there was one of these l;ittle blue chicks in there , someone said might be my "free ' exotic .?
It looks exactly like this one !
No i'm really confused since , i have been trying to figure out what kind of chickies i have and they are all mixed up, ordered 27 , the pk of 25 brown eggers and then 2 silver laced wyandottes, rec'd them plus the exotic, and an extra packing pnut , lost one chick a partridge rock , still have 29 chicks and so far i know that there are
5 red hens ( either RIR, NHR or red star )
4 partridge rocks
3 white rocks
2 golden laced wyandottes( or dark cornish )?
2 naked necks
2 easter eggers
1 barred rock
1 blue andalusian ?
1 jersey giant
