STINKY BREATH/HEAD AREA, AND SLIGHTLY RASPY BREATHING!!

Are her tail feathers always down like that(last pic)? Mine look like that when there not feeling well. Well...not mine actually but my birds!!!:th
HAhaha, no they are not always down like that, I don't think think she is a true serama because she has never had that intense serama stance. And she really does seem quite happy :idunno

I agree with Wyorp Rock that it could be canker, a protozoan disease that affects the inside of the beak and can block the airway, or sour crop, which makes the crop full and balloon-like with a bad odor. She is a sweetie! Here is some reading about both canker and crop problems:

I just tried looking in her mouth and she is not having it lol I have to wait for backup to get home! I will check her crop first thing and report back! her face smells kinda sour like I dunno stinky cheese.

That is good news about her crop working normally. Infectious coryza is a foul smelling respiratory disease, but you would have probably seen symptoms, such as thick nasal drainage, coughing, wheezing, swelling around an eye with pus drainage. She certainly does not look sick. I would just make sure that she is eating chicken feed as 90% of her intake, drinking well, and take her outside often to dust bath, eat some green things, and sunbathe for vitamin D. Probiotics would also be a good thing to give twice a week, if her feed does not contain them.

Morning BYC, so my little ladies crop was completely empty this morning! Im worried and wondering if she could have any kind of upper respiratory infection, that maybe she has had since I got her (2 months ago) ?
Glad to hear her crop was empty!
How often is she wheezy?
Did you notice the smell after you switched feed or introduced anything new for her to eat?
A very foul smell is normally reported in birds that have Infectious Coryza, but generally there is facial swelling with pus in the eyes, mucous, coughing, sneezing, etc.

To me, she does not look sick. If her symptoms worsen, the you may need to revisit thinking about respiratory illness.

I would just keep an eye on her for a few days and monitor her for symptoms before considering taking any other course of action.

@Wyorp Rock her breathing isn’t constantly wheezy but she definitely still does wheeze. Also I don’t think her symptoms coincide with when I switched her food. She is still stinky, but is acting very normal and happy. Here she is sunbathing yesterday.
