That information is old, from 2001. I know the rules for New Mexico and Texas are now quite different and rules can also change from one month to the next depending upon disease outbreaks.

I have been stopped at state lines a time or 2. If they do not consider your Coggins current enough, they direct you to "their" vet to have blood drawn and then let you go on your way. It's way more expensive doing it this way, of course, and takes way more time, but at least you do get to go home!
