If it were me, I would be printing out everything I have documented, driving to OKC to the offices of all the high state officials, with friends with me and the media also and demanding that they hear my grievances. This is absolutely insane now!!!

and BTW, do you have a lawyer? Now would be the time to get one. It would probably expedite this whole process. If money is a problem (as it is with most in this economy) then find a legal aid service.

Wow, I just read all 178 pages of posts... because I am new here... this is terrible! I really hope that you get your horse back. This almost happened to my daughter, but we were fortunate enough to have a police officer who decided to be pro-active and GO with my husband to get the horses and make the woman unlock the gate so we could get our horses back. I'm not sure that she was supposed to, but she KNEW the horses were ours so....

I wish you all the luck in the world and hope you get your horse. Hang in there!!

I'm very sorry to hear this, and I think it's time to take everyone's suggestions and call congressmen, senators, the media, a local talk radio station or whoever to try and get this process expedited. I am so sorry for your grief, cause that's what it sounds like today was. And no, you should NOT pay this guy, this is extortion in my opinion. I'd be interested to see what an attorney would say. Wish I knew someone in your neck of the woods. My husband's daughter paid to get her daughter's horse back...not *quite* the same situation as they got behind on their board, but the guy was belligerent and withheld their horse from them even when they wanted to pay so he could run the bill up further. They wound up paying way more than they should have and wound up having to go there with a sheriff to get the horse besides. I personally don't think it was the answer, but that's what they did.

Interesting eh? Well, I gave a call. Not my Max, but the horse described in her ad was an EXACT match to Max. Including the under-belly spot. I gave her a call and she said that they'd had this horse since he was a colt and that he was 11 years old. Max just turned 5.

They're still looking for their horse, so if you see a horse that looks like that one anywhere nearby, give me or that person a call please!
