Stolen Horse--Man is BACK in jail!

Oh no...remember, the horse was bad tempered and bucked, according to Ryals. That's why he sold it! Besides the fact it was crippled.

If anyone with half a brain would string all their excuses together, they'd see that the horse was stolen and sold not to mention the extortion. Why a judge won't look at what has already been admitted and make a decision based on that, is beyond me.

Shelly

He wasn't too crippled to buck though

Yeah, imagine that!

Here is my posted comment.

***This is it? After watching the judicial system shuffle its incredibly slow feet of "justice", this is best resporting that can be offered? The obvious bias of the reporter is (or at least should be) embarrassing for the Tahlequah Daily Press. The original and rightful owner of the stolen horse is being ignores, stymied, and vilified simply by trying to get HER horse back. The horse was stolen, it was sold illegally, the person who bought the horse acknowledges this...yet refuses to do the right thing? He is hiding behind the emotionality of a 7 year old? This is the perfect opportunity to teach that child right from wrong, that sometimes doing the RIGHT thing isn't always the easiest thing...but instead the child is learning how to keep what is not his.

Shame on the Tahlequah's version of "good ole boy" politics. Shame on the Daily Press for playing along and not fairly reporting the story. Shame on the grandfather keeping a stolen horse and using his grandson for an excuse.

Citizens of Tahlequah, you have my condolences. I cannot imagine having to live within such a corrupt system.***

Now I'm thinking we'll get to hear about YET ANOTHER postponement/recusal/refusal/whatever on a decent court date because this

They already had it.

OK, I just read the editor's comment. ticked. Me. Off.

Here is my posted response.

***Dear Editor:

Having a small time newspaper and a staff of 5 does not exempt your paper from journalistic integrity. If you are receiving a flood of responses about a story you are covering, perhaps you may wish to cover the story in greater depth? Edward R. Murrow you are not.

To the person who referred to the war and implied our priorities are not straight for focusing our attention on Max? My husband is CURRENTLY serving in that very war. He is defending this paper's right to publish and the Max's owner's right to pursue rightful ownership. What exactly are YOU doing besides stirring the pot?***

The "vet" was the father of the judge that heard the case originally, that's why she recused herself ~ no they aren't all in the good ole boys network whatever made you think that?????????

With Vets it is almost like DR/Patient relationship, if she can find an attorney to write a letter asking for copies of the records on Max, since RoPo is the rightful owner, they would either comply or would be in violation. I never said the were in the "good ole boys network" I have raised horses for over 30 years and I am trying to come up with anything that might help here. Obviously this town is corrupt, not just law and courts but the entire town. I have a cousin who is an attorney as well as having my own attorney. RoPo, I will give them the Reaser's digest version and see if they can at least offer some advice.
