I've contacted the OHP who are trying to find out what is going on. They suggested the media. I contacted all of the media again and am getting call backs. Hopefully something is going to happen SOON.

The issue is figuring out which person to sue in order to get the horse back. I want the horse back before I go for the money. I want Max safe and sound.

I dont blame you wanting Max back! A very good lawyer can tell you which owner you can sue for. But as far as I know, it may be the leasee getting sued because he BROKE the contract and sold the horse to his uncle. So therefore, you should go after the person who broke the lease. He had no reason to sell the horse when the lease is not fufilled. And since the uncle got the horse and you do not want the money, you would take BOTH of them in!

You got a good point! How would RoPo convince the netposse that the horse (may be dead?) or get that extra help she deserves so badly? I hope things are getting done this time.

ROPO, my concern is the longer this drags out the more case of abandonment that they will have aganist you. I think they KNOW this too...Also...your phone records wont really help you out if the man says that he called you to take the horse back but that you refused to come pick up the horse..because you didnt have a trailer or something...(any reason...)

See how tricky this can get? Its going to be your WORD aganist his word....but if you go there and make an effort to pick up the horse and the police get called...you will have PROOF that you tried to go pick up the horse because he broke the contract...
I could be WAY off on this..but..i'd get some friends and family and at least TRY go pick up the horse....if the man refuses to give you the horse..call the police...they will HAVE to come to the scene and make a report...so you wil at least have LEGAL a paper trail that you tried to recover that horse. This guy is pissing me off..i wished i lived closer!!!!!!
