That is awesome!

I am so happy for you. I think the rest will follow through, now that they realize you are serious and going to see it through. It's easy to hold something and ignore a single person, but when you have police and media covering a story you tend to stop and think if this "theft" is really worth it.

I'm glad they published his name, all the negativity will put more pressure on it. Because now the pressure just isn't on him, but on the rest of his family and anyone who knows him. You've brought light onto this subject, it will move right along.

Assistant District Attorney Josh King is prosecuting the case. He also has an application to accelerate a deferred three-year judgment pending in an unauthorized use of a vehicle charge.

Court records indicate warrants were recalled Tuesday on other older cases involving Ryals.

He was ordered to make $50 monthly payments on those cases, which involve the unauthorized use of a vehicle, some traffic tickets and a pair of protective orders.

I just wanted to make sure I understood this clearly. Does this mean that the thief has other issues that need to be dealt with as well? I hope so. I also hope it comes to light that the sheriff hasn't exactly been the most helpful.

To me it means his "pass" to deal with stealing a car and not paying tickets by paying $50 a month has now went by the wayside and his punishment for those will change. He may have gotten some kind of probation for those offenses as long as he stayed out of any further trouble.
