I agree, i'd call the media back...tell them the update and that noone will let you see if the horse is even alive and well..and that you are VERY worried about him.

What a bunch of flippin IDIOTS! I think it is time for a update media coverage conference. I would start raking officers, supervisors, sheriff and everyone else overl the HOT COALS! I have never heard of or followed something so absolutely ridiculous. Have that SOB who has Max prosecute for possession of stolen property...does not matter whether he paid for it or not. I would tap dance across their desks but I would get their attention and get something done. I would be there with a trailer and demanding my horse back yesterday!

I sure hope you get him back soon.

Well, I havent taken the time to read all the pages, but it looks like its about time for something to happen...


I for one, would make a HUGE deal out of this. Make a huge fuss, get the news stations involved, keep calling, leave messages, write letters, make complaints, go to higher up powers.... BE A PAIN!!! that seems to be the only way things get done these days.

I just found this thread last week and still can't believe what has happened. It is absolutely ridiculous. There is no excuse as to why nothing has been done. I knew the justice system favored the criminals but this is just unbelievable. Corrupt is not the word for the local police force. They should be charged with harboring a criminal.

Who knows maybe some Hollywood producer will find out about the story and make a movie of the week. As long as it ends in a lynching and a happy reunion. Might even win an Emmy too.

And I must say Max is absolutely gorgeous.

Call 60 mins too! maybe they would do a piece on your case, since you still aren;t getting any action to verify that Max is okay.

I think I would make copies of everything and give it to any reporter you can get to listen including any letters or phone transcripts. there has got to be a way to get htis moving so Max is brought home, before something else happens to him. (like being stolen isn't bad enough).

Heck, I'd also send it in to the Today show. And The CBS Morning show. They love personal interest stories! If we had any members in NY, maybe they would be willing to brave the morning cold and Hold up a sign begging for help to get your horse back! (Outside the studio)

Hang up the phone an pick up your keys! If I need to talk to the sheriff I go camp out in his office. Same with the media. When your there face to face people respond.

Buy a peace of plywood, 2 2X4s an some pant an make a sign telling how the sheriffs department knows where your stolen horse is but wont go get it. Place it on the heaviest traffic public right of way you can find. In someones yard that will keep an eye on it if possible. Elected officials hate 4 by 8 signs saying there not doing there job.

Make fliers saying the same thing an post them everywhere.
