No wonder you've been having trouble with the local sheriff and deputies. Reading that the sheriff has known the family since the "boys" were young says everything. Looks like your're living in the middle of a "good ole boy" police force that does for their friends and no one else.

We had one of those type of forces here too until a few years ago. The FBI came in and busted the whole dept. for selling the weapons and drugs that had been confiscated during arrests. They were also running a prostitution ring on top of it. When this happened, everything made sense as to why nothing was done when we had a break in here at my house. We know who broke in and have no doubt she was part of that ring.

Time to go higher than the sheriff's dept. Copy the story and gather all the info. you can then march yourself right on up to the top. This is getting ridiculous.

Time for this department to get a reality check. Take all your information, articles, notebooks, and suspicions and go HIGHER than their little "buddy buddy" system. This is outrageous. Police and their "friends" should not be above the law! It is a disgrace to police forces everywhere. Take all your information to the media, this isn't just about a girl and her horse anymore. This is government corruption, police and their friends getting benefits above the law. Go rock their world all to hell.

I agree collect everything you have, all documentation, all articles, the works. make up a few coppies and send them off to your congressman, the higher ups in the police force, and the NY times or some other big news papers. Make sure to CC each person you send the package to so that they may see all that you are contacting. Someone will pick up the ball and run with it I am sure.

Make sure all important stuff is highlighted with a brief easy to read summery and glossery of some sort so that it is easy to digest.

ETA they have been busting a lot of this type of corruption in NJ recently so it is fresh in the minds of peole so it should be well received.

I know a great guy and his wife who actually had to move back here to PA because of it! Take al of your info to anyone who will listen - get this "scandal" out in the open, do what nobody else has &

get your horse back in the process!

Internal Affairs.............. This is bad, not good at all. That doesn't give him the right to allow these people to steal your horse! I really think the media will get in into now. I would call the FBI and say these people are using their frienship with this sheriff to commit crimes and get away with it. Send a package to them with copies of everything!

Stage a protest..get all your friends with horses to bring them all to the courthouse steps! You will only leave when the horse is returned! I wish I still had connections there! Maybe I should find my long lost Aunt, and cousins in Talequah!
