Not sure if a small town good ole boy would be that technically in-tune....

Please keep us posted on happenings... I so want to hear Max is back home and the bad guys got what's coming to them....

Justice is a funny thing... if it doesn't happen here on Earth you can be confident that it will happen when they die.... at least that's Faith in Godly justice....

I am a new member in Australia, on the west coast near Perth. I have only looked at this site 1-2 times before and landed on this thread almost by accident tonight (looking for info for my baby goat)and have spent the whole of the last 6 hours till almost 2 a.m. reading through the whole 116 pages of posts.

I am utterly flabbergasted, stunned, appalled and shocked by what I have read. What a gripping but deeply disturbing saga! I am also full of awe at the tenacity, strength, love for her horse and sheer courage of the woman whose beautiful horse was stolen, and full of a stupendous sense of warmth at the loyalty, generosity and practicality of the support which so many other members here have been giving her. You guys have been utterly wonderful! I had to weep in sympathy with her, especially as I am also currently in a somewhat similar legal morass concerning some cats of mine, and I could not help but laugh and cheer you all on when so many of you were planning the vigilante raid to rescue the horse from the villainous uncle! If I lived in the US I would have been with you.

Dear lady who has lost her beloved and beautiful horse, I wish you all the best in getting him back again safely and soon. Specifically, I wish you all the best for your day in Court on December 2 ...... my similar day in Court is December 3. (Incidentally, because of the International Date Line, I think that means we will actually both be in Court on the same day!). You have certainly earnt a resounding win and deserve to have your horse back in an instant.

WOW!!! The ups and downs, Bobbi still asks If you got your horse back yet.... this is so crazy. Do you have any hair left?? This needs to be done already!! I just can't believe it is taking so long. We will keep praying for a quick safe return!

Thanks Fudgie. Situations like this are so hard and exhausting. Mine involved selling breeding cats to a fellow breeder, she then decided not to pay me and then she sold MY 3 cats on to other people. I managed to track one down, he was in a horrific state, but the people who got him treated him wonderfully and he is fine again now. However I have no idea what has happened to my other 2 cats and that hurts a lot.

The Warrior Child, it seems like forever but the "justice" system seems to be the slowest on earth. In my case (in Australia) it has already been almost 8 months since I started action against this cat breeder and we are still at least several months short of finale I reckon. It drives you crazy! And Rodriguez Poultry's case has been much worse in that she hit so many barriers and so much corruption from sources which should have been of help. The worst I have hit in officialdom has been incompetence and the incredible insanity of the so-called "justice" system itself. Plus of course the perpetrator herself who is already a real blot on humankind at only 26. Like with RP, it is amazing what you find out only afterwards about the appalling track record that people like this have already left behind them at a young age.

I don't know what to do now.

The prelim hearing is Dec. 2, and I have to work. I never received a sub-p. I'm going to contact the DA's office and find out what I'm supposed to do.

You tell your boss that you have a hearing and you go. Hopefully you've kept your boss up on matters so that they won't be surprised about it.

You tell them you have court an you go. Then you get a note from the court clerk stating that you were there.

Yea you have to go... if you dont.. you may not be able to have a chance again. After all this, you have to go... its a criminal case and you are a witness .. your job cant prevent you from going, nor can they fire you for it. Tell them you dont have a choice and that you'll make it up to them and work on a day off... but you cant not go.
