Stolen Horse--Man is BACK in jail!

No, this is the one where I'm a state witness. If I do not go, it will be contempt of court and a warrant for my own arrest could be done.

So, needless to say, I'm going. The sub-p will be reissued if need be, but I'll have to have the court clerk sign a paper as well as give the sub-p to the office.

State witness trumps work every time. I know at my work a court appearance is an excused absence and they will pay the worker a day's wages or more. Unless of course the court appearance is due to the worker being charged with a crime. Then it is not excused unless the worker has any vacation days available.
If your work isn't sympathetic then maybe the news media might be interested. I doubt any business would like to be known as the place that fired a worker because she had to go to court to get her beloved horse back from a rotten thief.

If you have received a subp... then your boss can't stop you nor punish you... the law is on your side with that.

Best of luck... I can't wait till you post that you have him back home and he is safe. Has anyone seen him yet... confirm that he is being cared for?

You are in all of our prayers!

Good one Fudgie! She could then attack the system from within and get them sorted out, and we could all gain by having some decent animal-loving lawyers around!

Getting a bit nervous. Tomorrow is the day.

*I was called twice more by the guy that has the prelim-hearing tomorrow.* I made a report with the Fayetteville Police Department to prove that I did notify someone about it.

What do the police have to say about all his calling?

Still no messages left on the machine?

No messages left on the machine and without him making physical threats such as "I'm going to kill you" they can't do anything more than log it. But, I just need a paper trail left, especially if he tries to use this as his "backup" for saying that he couldn't get into contact with me.
