This is a prime example of why people go nuts!!!! I say that in jest.....but seriously come on what a total failure of the justice system!!

Ropo, I DON'T know about your finances, but until you hire an attorney, you won't have enough muscle, and they will continue to try to wear you out. IF you had an attorney he/she would bring in what are called "expert witnesses." They will attest to markings, papers, bloodwork, etc. Expert witnesses do NOT have to be local, they just need to be knowledgable and are used to cut through BS, and intimidate the other parties, in your case, into giving up. Please consider this. I AM on your side.

AND her attorney (good one anyway) would have made sure there was someone in court last fall to take notes. Remember, the transcriber was missing at one hearing.

AND her attorney would have called in the nephew to testify on the stand in the presense of the uncle that he did indeed sold Max to his uncle. He could have been asked the current location of Max. What condition Max was in at the time he did sell him to the uncle, etc, etc, etc.

A lot of this is true, but done is done. Let's not beat Ropo up over this here. She's got enough of a load on her shoulders no matter how it happened. I'm sure at first it seemed fairly simple, and the expense may have been too much, and/or maybe she just wanted to deal with it and fight the fight herself. I know I always feel like "This is so simple! Right is Right! Anyone can see that! I shouldn't need a dang lawyer!!! I have all kinds of proof and that person is obviously wrong!" and then things started to snowball.

Lets offer support, not blame. (sorry if I sound preachy, don't mean to but I'm worried about the stress she's got already.
