I think what is happening with max is ... he is just a horse. If the judge more fully understood how ropo feels about Max, maybe this would be over by now.

I think if this were a situation where it was an inanimate object that was argued over then maybe the idea of not ruffling the judges feathers and waiting her out would be correct, but this is a living creature who could very much be in danger of serious neglect by this jerk who has him. I don't think there would be anything wrong at all with RoPo sending a very polite note to the judge stating she is very concerned for his health and well being and could she please find a way to take a look asap so this can be done.

I think cafarmgirl has a good point. An exceedingly polite, yet concerned note to the judge from Ropo, should not hurt anything. And it's a very valid point.
