Stone Cold Incubator - Help Please

Well that was too easy. He just ordered an incubator from Cutlers.

Maybe mine wasn't a genesis model but it still had the preset thermostat. I do see splices for the heating element and stuff so I think I can resurrect this.

Sue . Sometimes you can open up that electronic thermostat box and blow the circuit board off with a can of compressed air that is used for computers and it will work again. They can get a build up of chick down inside them and cause them to malfunction.

Sorry I haven't called you. Phone is in and out of service. Some pinhead shot the lines up for miles out here. Spring moisture is taking the lines out inch by inch and FairPoint has no money to fix it right.

Dust is a very big possibility. I burn coal and that fine ash gets everywhere.

And if that doesn't work I found a thermostat that is more in line with reality.

That's a good find. It sure beats some of the other options people have come up with. The gqf ones are like $74 or so.

The new incubator is here already! Cutlers was amazingly fast!


My husband has a compressor so I had him blow out the thermostat on the old one. It works again! Warmed right up. So now I have 2. Good tip Danny! Chick dust and feathers came out in a cloud.
