Stone eating

So I know it's normal for young ducks to swallow small rocks/stones. My 12 wk old male runner Floki just ate what I think was a stone about the size of a 10 pence peice. I thought it may have been a snail, but didn't sound like one when he was messing with it in his mouth. Anyway, he swallowed it, shook his head a couple times & I saw the lump travel down his neck. This was literally in 10 mins ago. Will he be ok? He's my favourite dude!! X

Phew! Thanks, he looked like he struggled for a second when swallowing it. I could be wrong, it could have been a snail. I walked over in his direction & clapped my hands hoping he would leave it be... I was wrong.

In horror I watched a hickory nut go down Einz's slender Runner neck a few years ago. Later that night, you could hear it crackling.... She is fine.
