I have a young pullet, about 24 weeks old. She started looking unwell today, eating a little and drinking a little. Poo has stringy material in it, but globs up when I lift it with a toothpick, so not worms.

I'm thinking maybe intestinal shedding?
Should I try corid?

Since she's not feeling well, then yes, I'd start the Corid now, but I'd also try to get some Toltrazuril and treat her with that when you get it.

Here's dosing for Corid.
Liquid Corid dose is 2tsp or Powdered Corid Dose is 1 1/2tsp per gallon of water given for 5-7 days as the only source of drinking water.
Do not add any extra vitamins/electrolytes that contain B1(Thiamine) to food or water during the course of treatment.

Dosing for Toltrazuril is on the package.

That much intestinal shed can indicate a serious case of worms or coccidiosis. To cause this amount of shed, you can be looking at parasites and inflammation that is getting into the bacterial infection stage. That's why Corid plus an antibiotic is recommended.

If you have a vet you use, you can take a stool sample to them to have a fecal float test done, fast and inexpensive, and it will tell you what parasites are present. This is the best way to know what treatments to use.

You can worm at the same time you do Corid.
