If you're feeding eggs to chickens to stimulate egg production, why not just eat the eggs your feeding the chickens. Does anyone have a solution that doesn't require making eggs with eggs?

If you're feeding eggs to chickens to stimulate egg production, why not just eat the eggs your feeding the chickens. Does anyone have a solution that doesn't require making eggs with eggs?

Some people have a lot more eggs then they can ever use, and don't have a good sales outlet, so feeding them back to the chickens or making dog food is a good use for eggs they can't use otherwise.

There are several ideas out there to increase protien w/o using eggs, fermenting feed which doesn't increase the protien, but increases the bio available protien and other nutrients, catfish food, feeder insects are a few.
