Well, that was before our black silkie Poppy girl came into our life.

Now, he's the one under the silkie spell. always making sure that he checks on "his" girl in the am before work, (um, sweetie, she was MY birthday present first, lol ) and feeding her treats before everyone else. That girl is SOOO spoiled now and it's all because she lets him pick her up and when he does, she trills and is such a sweetie....

I'm not guilty myself, there are only 24 silkie and bantam cochin eggs under my broodies right now....

I have enough giant chickens (seen my rooster lately?). If I end up with two silkie roosters, then they will definitely become porch chickens - refer back to the giant rooster thing. He'd make mincemeat outta them.

Last night I said to DH, by the way I'm adding to my order of chicks. He was like okay, whatever, they're your chickens. Think he will fall under the silkie spell too. On the other hand, I was just out to coop and one of my dark brahma hens has confiscated all the golf balls and has them in a nice neat pile in one nestbox. She's just waiting for me to get off the phone with Ideal (after adding silkies to my order), so she can go broody.
