Stop smoking support thread...

Well... First was a couple weeks, then almost a whole pack in a day, then 4 days, 2 cigs, then 3 days, then almost a whole pack in a day, then 3 days.... Now I'm up to 2-3 cigs a day.

April 16th I will try again. lol...

I'm about to quit. Again. For good this time though.
It was much easier to give it up when I learned I was pregnant.

I know exactly what you mean! That was a breeze!

I've turned into a closet smoker this week, because I told everyone I was quitting... I feel guilty. I had half of one this morning and felt sick. Except I'm not pregnant, no way no how.

The average smoke "quits" 7 times before they "succeed". One key, is replacing your habitual smokes with something else.

Any reduction in the amount of cigs you smoke is helpful - and the sooner you can quit, the faster your lungs will recover. The human body really is remarkable.

I've heard great things about quitting. I WANNA BE A QUITTER!!! hehe!

Good Luck to all of you! I'm glad there is a thread for this on BYC! I was a pack a day smoker for about 13 years (even throughout 2 pregnancies I'm ashamed to admit). Right now I am on my second quit and have been cig free for over a year!!! I live by the motto "N.O.P.E"- Not One Puff Ever! It helps me get through cravings (yes even after 14 months, I still have them every once in a while!)
