Store bought eggs hatch along anyone? I'm buying regular organic.

I wouldn't wait too long before incubating the eggs. The longer you wait the less viable the eggs will be and since they came from a store there is no way to tell how old they are. The carton may be dated.

Oh I am going back to buy some on the day I get my eggs too. I just got some tonight for eating. Do you know if they need to be room temperature before going in the incubator?

I will try a dozen, lots of stores around here selling them and a farmers market,,,,,,,won't be setting till the 7th though....my ordered eggs should be here the 6th so will put them in along side....

That is my time frame! I have eggs coming on the 6th plan to set on the 7th and will get some organic eggs from a local market to add too!

The eggs should be brought up to room temp slowly to avoid sweating

I agree. I would bring them up to room temperature too before putting them into the incubator.

I'm in! I'll have to go to Whole Foods this weekend. I have heard different people who have gotten varying results from their eggs, but I'll get the freshest (which seems to be the key there) and give is a try.

Does anyone know if Harris Teeter sells eggs that could be fertile? I haven't seen a TJ since I was back home in So Cal, and I am not sure if there is a Whole Foods around here either. However there IS a Harris Teeter close by, and I will be setting my Ebay eggs (BCM & Millies) sometime tomorrow and would love to throw in a batch of "experiment" eggs!

Great thank you! It's good too let them sit for about 24 hrs anyway right?

Since they came from a store, I would let them sit at least overnight. It takes quite awhile for the internal temperature to come up. When I get shipped eggs I put them in the incubator right away but leave the turner off for a day.
