Today is the day! So I bought 4 dozen pasture raised eggs from my local grocery stores. There was not a lot to choose from but I did try to buy the freshest date as possible. Each dozen is a different brand and all are brown eggs. I cracked open 2 eggs from each brand and all of them had a bulls eye! Needless to say that my incubator is full of eggs! I am excited and hope all of you enjoy this journey with me!

Thanks for the tag! Best of luck. Are you going to mark the eggs in some way so you know which carton they came from? Like #1 are from Pete and Jerry's, #2 are from Handsome's, etc.? For future reference? This will be fun!

I did! I marked them with the 1st and 2nd letter if the brand. 3 dozen are heavy breed and then standard. So will see what come out!

Following! I have a problem not hatching our own eggs back-to-back. Throw in the grocery store as a new possibility, and I might be overwhelmed.

40.. I cracked 2 eggs from each brand. Low and behold ALL had bulls eyes!

Stuck them in there today. Since they're brown eggs I'll wait to day 7 to see if any took.
