Store bought eggs to hatch?

Today is the day! So I bought 4 dozen pasture raised eggs from my local grocery stores. There was not a lot to choose from but I did try to buy the freshest date as possible. Each dozen is a different brand and all are brown eggs. I cracked open 2 eggs from each brand and all of them had a bulls eye! Needless to say that my incubator is full of eggs! I am excited and hope all of you enjoy this journey with me!

Much cheaper from the store lol

Here is another update for today. So I researched the egg companies to see on their website if they say what breed of hens. I was only able to find 2 that mentioned and I emailed the other companies to ask. If I am successful this is what I might be having:

Pete and Gerry's: Bovan Browns and Hylines
Vital Farms: Most are Hylines
Handsome: ? (they mention RIR as when they first started but their eggs are standard size.. so I don't think they are).
Gwendolyn's: ? (though they showed a white hen but doesn't mean they're the breed they use).

We will see if the other two companies get back to me.
White Rocks lay brown eggs, don't they?

They do.

Bonker- In my area all the store eggs are not fertile- I have gone with Health food store eggs, and with those only ones listed as local. And check dates. most have been washed and fridged, so that is a draw back.
Glover street market has rainbow fertile eggs ( Patterson? from Bryan road in winthrop.)
Then there is Texas Creek eggs from Carlton, and Torres I think out of Pateros.

There are brands in the grocery stores that are not fertile, so don't waste your time, Naturally nested, Wilcox, there is another brand that looks and claims natrural but it is just albertson brand under some organic label.
