Storing Fertilized Eggs?

The longer they sit out before going into the incubator the less viable they become. Most do not leave hatching eggs out for more then 10 days. A broody will lay eggs in a nest for a few days before she will seriously sit on them. The heat from her body triggers the development of the embryos so all of the chicks will hatch almost at the same time.
I thought they meant for eating, they weren't specific if it was for incubating or eating... But I don't store fertile eggs for more than 7 days between 55-75 degrees and pointed side down turning every day.

My hatches have been 90%+ on hatch rate and I use eggs straight from my backyard.

I have used eggs from the fridge just to fill the incubator and all hatched. They were in there for at least 2+ days.

Topic starter wants to eat them. Its make no difference if the egg is fertilized or not. Just get the eggs out. Chicks will not grow in the egg at room or fridge temperature. It needs a certain humidity and temperature to develop.

Good advices for keeping fertilized eggs to breed here.:thumbsup
Thanks for clearing that up...
