Yup. I kick it out every morning, and it runs back into the grow out pen each night.

Surprisingly well. Though they mostly keep their distance from the "superchicken". It aslo follows me around like a little puppy as I walk around the pasture.

I narrowly escaped the feed store yesterday with only feed. These partridge rock chicks were screaming my name !

Have you dug your garlic yet? How'd it do this year?

I haven't. and poorly. I've been distracted, and we've hada LOT of water. Even the raised bed (raised as in almost 2 foot raised) was a sodden mess at one point.

Well heck, I'm sorry.

I think I've had my best harvest ever, and the bulbs are definitely bigger this year than last. My Music garlic has always been 4 large/huge cloves per bulb, with a few that have 5. This year, most are 5, with several 6 and 7s.

This year is the first time I've used blood meal. I sprinkled some around the plants when they were about 6" tall last spring. I don't know if that is the difference, but I will definitely do it again.
