National Coffee Day would fall on a Monday… …when I am researching how to best treat bumble foot because that’s the price of a free rooster. Definitely more Monday coffee required.

What's the best way to prepare coffee?

Depends. I've tried French Press, and it's good, but clean up is a pain. I love percolator coffee, but settle for drip for convenience.

Best coffee for the price is Folgers. I especially like the Black Silk variety. I drink it black, so the taste is very important to me.

Honestly, I usually settle for drip, but have a lovely French press when I want a more "rounded" cup. My daughter has a vacuum press she swears by, too fancy for me. A good cup of Cuban or Vietnamese coffee is to die for. And when you really have the time? A double doppio topped off with a cup of Frenched medium roast will really start your AM (which is good, because then you have to clean the espresso maker and the French press).

Agree on the Black Silk.

That's how I take mine as well. Sometimes with a bit of sugar. Depends on the day. Their quality has been inconsistent the last few years. I should probably learn to read their milling/roasting dates.

My son commented that recently the Silk tasted like regular.

I love my little French press. I'd like to be more of a connoisseur of coffee, but with my rather blunt senses of taste and smell, I'm not sure if it would be worth the trouble and cost.

Starting the morning with a flat tire and stale coffee, zero of ten do not recommend

At least the tire seems to have reseated overnight. Yesterday I thought I was going to drive right off of it when it blew

Started a fresh pot before I went out to survey the damage. Life is better now. Sidewalls seem fine. I was spreading rock on a hill when the tire collapsed. Didn't take my time yesterday, getting the tractor ready for use - and it show today.

I rushed, and am paying the price.
