We're getting a warming trend. Thursday, we could hit 42° and get a half inch of rain. Then a flash freeze overnight and high of 28° on Friday. I really, really hope they're wrong about the rain.

When we're out and about on Wednesday, I think we better get the groceries and fill the gas can. Might need it for the generator.

We had a white Thanksgiving. Might end up with a brown Christmas. Sigh.

Hopes the weather people are wrong about the rain for you as well.

I just finished surveying the property, we finished our second mid 20s unscathed, didn't even need supplemental heat for the well pump. Will have an electric heat strip in the coming days. There's a warming trend, so not urgent, but if we get a late Jan/early Feb like last year, its going to be an issue.

They've backed off the rain a bit. Now they're saying trace to 1/4", which is a big improvement over a half inch. But that depends on how far north the front comes, and they've said their prediction has changed twice.

Which doesn't mean they don't know or that they're covering their butts. Mother Nature is capricious.

The problem with rain right now is we have a good snow pack on the ground. Whatever rain falls has nowhere to go but to the lowest place it can find.

I am very grateful that we live up on a hill.

In Florida, the weather forecast is "Written in Mud". Sounds like yours is similarly reliable

"Written in mud." I gotta remember that!

The local team does a pretty good job. They have all the new computer enhanced, whiz bang, doo wah, gizmo stuff. They also collectively have decades of personal experience with the weather here.
