Haven't tried the stuff I picked up yet as so far no more sign of pecking....least for Mouse being picked on, etc. Though Toodles is still bald from Fancy Pants & his "attention" shall we say. I hate to isolate her...she doesn't do well alone. I'll have to snag her soon & try some of the stuff I picked up. Plus, I don't think she's eating the oyster shell or absorbing enough calcium. Thinking I'm going to start saving egg shells. I noticed her eating part of a shell from a broken egg that my chiweenie (Piglet) helped to clean up...least I'm pretty certain it was her & not the chi (Indy).
However, I do have a little problem that needs solving................
Seems Indy doesn't want to go outside to go potty without an escort. Why? Penguin, my black cockerel cochin, is picking on him. Penguin is now taller than Indy. I'm not sure if it's part of the boys jostling for position, Penguin is jealous because he's not getting my attention, or what. Whatever the reason, it's got to stop. Seems I trained my dogs too well....they've been taught that the chickens are babies & to be gentle with them...not to use their mouths, paws, or play, etc. So now, Penguin pecks & him so all Indy does is try to get away. Those little legs can't get too far that fast. Any ideas?
