My Rhode Island Red, Scarlett, is super friendly! But I didn’t know it! For a while, at least. A while back, I relized she was bolder than the others, standing on my feet when I was in their run. Every time I went to collect eggs, she sat on the roost, watching me. She was always the first to the door when I was opening it. Now, today after school, I got to the farm to the usual... Wings my cockerel, was being his usual aggressive, hormonal self. But one thing was wrong... none of the pullets were inside of the run! (They don’t like it in there for some reason...) I went inside the barn and went out the other door, I saw my chickens outside of it. I said, “Hey, guys... can you go back into your coop please?” As soon as Scarlett saw me, she started to run as fast as she could toward me. I then said, “Awww, hey Scarlett! Scarlett, come here!” She kept running towards me, I was walking to her as well. I bent down to pick her up, she crouched and I easily got her.

She’s so sweet! How did I not notice, XD

That's very sweet. How old is she? Pictures?

Yeah! 5 months old, and... coming right up! These are kinda old, (a few weeks) I don’t take photos very often of them...

I had a RIR named scarlet as my first two chickens. She was the same way, assertive but oh so friendly. I had to rehome her because she screamed all the time as loud as a rooster and really made my old neighbor mad. My friend took her into her flock. She climed the pecking order to the top very quickly there .

I still go to visit her, in fact I'm going this weekend! I miss her tons. A bit of a bully but such an outgoing, expressive chicken. Your girl is beautiful! Here is my Scarlet.

This sounds so much like an RIR to me. They are friendly to humans but they are generally at the top of the flock, with all the attitude of a queen.
