Blake returned to the subway station after his smoke and continued his eye, glancing every so often in Eli direction to make sure nobody was giving him a hard time. Just as he was approaching a short, fat man he heard an angry shout from behind him. He spun around, his gave instinctivly searching out Eli in the crowd of onlookers. He felt a sharp pang of relief when he seen him, his friend looked equally as puzzled as he did.
Pushing his way through the people towards Eli he seen what had caused the shout. A young girl who looked only to be about 13 or 14 had been caught pick-pocketing a large color man in a business suit. He was gripping her wrist tightly and shouting for a security guard. The girls eyes were narrowed in anger as she aimed a sharp kick at the man's leg, which he ignored. Suddenly, Eli left his side and began walking hurriedly towards them. Blake reached out to stop him but he was already gone.
Eli pushed through the rest of the crowd, muttering "Exuse me..." under his breath multiple times. The man was even taller then he was, but not by much. "What do you want?" He said, looking down at Eli as if he were an insect.
"I'm terribly sorry mister." Eli apologized "My sister here, she don't mean no harm. I'm afraid this was all a big misunderstanding" He flashed a smile.
"She tried to take my wallet!"
"No sir," She girl said earnestly, "Someone bumped into me and I bumped into you, I'm very sorry."
"Please," Eli held his hand out, a clear hint that he wanted the man to release her "We're very sorry to have caused such a commotion."
The man hesitated, but eventually let go of the girl and stuck his finger out at Eli "Scram, now. The both of you!" He growled, spinning around and stalking away.
Eli turned to the girl and offered his hand again which she promptly ignored, getting back on her feet without his help. "Follow me" He hissed in her ear, ignoring her protest when he grabbed her arm and led her away. Once they were outside away from the crowd he released her arm again "What was that for?" She growled, rubbing her sore wrists.
"What was what? Me saving your ***** or dragging you out?" Eli inquired.
The girl chose to ignore him, and he asked his next question "Who are you?"
"Danni Aldertree," She sniffed. Now that they were away from the crowd, Eli could take a good look at her. She was slim and rather short, just under 5ft tall with bright blue and purple hair and her eyes were a dark green, almost hazel color.
