Straight runs

If they're bantam then you'll get about 50/50. If they're standard sized birds then I would suspect you could get more roos.

I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered from Murray McMurray. I ordered Australorps and EEs, straight run, and got 18 pullets and 13 roos.

Statistics can give you a peculiar deal without anyone doing anything unfair. I ordered 3 different breeds, straight-run, from a small hatchery this year.

Of 6 campines: 5 cockerels, 1 pullet

Of 10 sussex: 2 cockerels, 8 pullets

Of 4 chanteclers: 2 cockerels, 2 pullets

From any ONE of those three things, I would be singing a very different story from any OTHER one

Something like 42 cockerels 8 pullets is not actually all that statistically unlikely, if you do the math. Neither is the reverse. You just can't tell what you'll get
