strange behavior swings (w/backstory) rooster being weird

yeah it looks pretty clean and dry... I am not 100% sure it is frostbite bcuz our other rooster would have gotten it first. (he is an Ancona living in a much wetter coop.)

But I will go out and put some vaseline on it just in case.

hmm... ok I think I am not going to get more sultans unless I keep them separate yes he is the one in my profile picture. That was his younger self he is much more handsome now. this is him up mount pawtuckaway with me (I still thought he was a girl) I can get a more updated pic if you want to see him now.

and since we are on the topic of heads my other roo has black stuff on him comb idk what it is (we live in nh) and Its cold do you think it could be frostbite? r other roo does not have anything and his comb is bigger.

He definitely is handsome! I have not featured the Sultan breed on my chicken website yet (thewayofthechicken.com). Do you have some pictures of Sully that I could borrow if I attribute to you as the photographer? That is totally okay if you say no, I was just wonderin'. :D (you can see how I did it before on my post about Naked-Necks here)---> http://thewayofthechicken.com/index.php/2017/09/08/naked-neck-chickens-turkens/#more-3148

A picture of the comb would be very helpful in determining what the black stuff is. Many breeds with large combs are less prone to frostbite than some smaller combed breeds. This means that smaller combed chickens can sometimes get frostbitten before the bigger combed varieties get it. :hmm

Here is a photo of a minor frostbitten Welsummer's comb for reference: :)

Thanks a lot! :D No hurries. Just post some of your favorite/best photos of Sully (young and adult would be great) here on this BYC thread when you have time. :)
Would you like me to post your actual name on the photos? (If so, It would help to know your real name :)). I will post a link to my article on the Sultan breed on this BYC thread once I have finished publishing it. :)
